Father: Authorities arrested Andre Curry, 21, on Tuesday afternoon and charged him with aggravated domestic battery
A young father was arrested yesterday after he posted a photo on Facebook of his 22-month-old daughter bound and gagged.
Andre Curry, from South Side, Chicago,was charged with aggravated domestic battery after police and state welfare officials opened an investigation into the picture, which had a caption saying: 'This is wut happens when my baby hits me back.'
It showed his daughter with blue duct tape over her mouth and her wrists bound together in front of her as well as at her ankles.
The 21-year-old is due to appear in court later today.
The photograph generated intense internet backlash since it was uploaded in July but authorities only started an investigation into it recently.

Je’Vanna Cobbins, a friend of Curry's, told The Smoking Gun that he was just 'playing around', and would 'never do anything to harm anyone'.
She said: '[He was] being playful with his child. People play with their children differently'.
The Chicago Police Department told MailOnline they were tipped off to the photo and then launched an investigation.
Curry has since taken the photo off Facebook, but as the image has spread on the internet, angry users have targeted his page.
One commenter called Curry a ‘nasty child abuser'.
Another said: 'I hope you fall down the stairs and land on a bunch of bullets. Hate hate hate hate!'
