Over a year since it blundered onto cinema screens, the Borat movie continues to rack up lawsuits from its unwitting victims. The latest comes courtesy of Michael Psenicska, a Baltimore-based driving instructor who claims that he was gulled into appearing in the comedy. In a suit filed in the US District Court of Manhattan, Psenicska claims that he was told he was appearing in a documentary about immigrants to the US. He is seeking $100,000 in compensatory damages and unspecified punitive damages from the makers of the film. The driving instructor features in one scene in which Borat (played by Sacha Baron Cohen) is shown struggling with his seatbelt, driving on the wrong side of the road, and rolling down his window to request "sexy time" from a female pedestrian.

Josh Brolin, Emile Hirsch and James Franco are in final negotiations to complete the cast of Milk, Gus Van Sant's long-awaited biopic that will star Sean Penn in the role of Harvey Milk, the gay San Francisco politician who was assassinated in 1978. Brolin can next be seen in the Coen brothers' No Country For Old Men, while Franco crops up in Paul Haggis's controversial In the Valley of Elah. Hirsch took the lead role in Penn's American odyssey Into the Wild, which opened in the UK last month. Milk is sue to begin production in January.

Tippi Hedren is struggling to contain the aftermath of a real-life animal attack after a tiger attacked a worker at the sanctuary she runs on the edge of the Mojave Desert. The 40-year-old employee is currently being treated in hospital. "He's going to be fine," insisted Hedren's publicist, Harlan Boll. "We're waiting to see how he reacts to the antibiotics." Hedren made her name as the imperilled heroine on the run from a flock of murderous crows in Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 thriller The Birds. She founded the Shambala Preserve for endangered big cats in the early 1970s and currently lives on the premises.
