Rock legend Lou Reed was a misogynistic 'monster' who beat up women, hurled anti-Semitic slurs and once expressed a hatred for 'n*****s like Donna Summer', according to a new biography. The Velvet Underground star, who died in 2013 aged 71, reportedly abused a string of romantic partners - striking his ex-girlfriend across the head in public and giving one of his former wives a black eye. He was also 'very unpleasant' toward his bandmates, school friends and even relatives - most of whom thought he was a 'pr*ck' - and frequently made racist and sexist comments, it is said.
